DESCRIPTION:RockAbility Cardio Drumming is a fun and engaging activity that combines drumming with exercise\, offering a creative way for people of all abilities to stay active. A RockAbility musician will lead these sessions\, and will include some songs on this integrated band’s setlist.  Using drumsticks and an exercise ball\, participants drum to music\, which not only provides a cardiovascular workout\, but also improves coordination\, motor skills\, and rhythm. The activity is highly adaptable to different abilities\, making it inclusive and accessible. It promotes social interaction\, boosts self-confidence\, and can help with stress relief – all while participants enjoy the energy and rhythm of the music. RockAbility Cardio Drumming is a creative\, fun\, and effective way to promote physical fitness and well-being.

SUMMARY:Power Ups - Integrated Workout and Friendly Competitive Activities
DESCRIPTION:W 1: Barbell strength in the fitness room followed by drumstick cardio \nThis all-abilities training and friendly competition program provides athletes with developmental disabilities opportunities to work out at the Arena at Wembley\, a state-of-the-art gym and fitness facility. Activities include: pickleball\, weightlifting\, obstacles\, TRX\, swimming\, cycling\, dance\, boxing\, yoga and more. To maintain quality of instruction\, classes are capped at 12 people. The weekly schedule may change depending upon staffing and room availability. \nNPower Services is also offering a similar evening program at the Arena at Wembley. Please register for only one as we would like to offer this opportunity to as many people as possible. If extra places are open\, we will revisit adding people to both sessions. The program costs $50 per session; no one is turned away for financial reasons. \n \n

DESCRIPTION:Power Ups + is an advanced\, small-size class that will focus on challenging workouts in the gym while neurotypical people are working out on their own. This class is limited to DD athletes who can safely work out independently and who know how to use gym equipment. Coaches will move athletes through a quick-paced challenging circuit of machine and free-weight exercises. As other rooms and coaches are available\, we may engage in activities including yoga\, cycling\, swimming and other activities. Athletes will be required to pass an admission test to participate. Admission is at the coaches’ discretion. Athletes should expect to feel the burn of a good workout after completing a class.  \n

DESCRIPTION:Stockings for kids \nMon.\, Dec. 2 \n4 – 5:30 p.m. \nKenston High School (9500 Bainbridge Rd / Chagrin Falls) \nProject: Kindness is partnering with Frontline Services\, Sew4Service and Kenston High School’s “Creating Exceptional Character” (CEC) students to make stockings for struggling families. Frontline Services is a nonprofit organization that reaches out to adults and children in Northeast Ohio to end homelessness\, prevent suicide\, resolve behavioral health crises and overcome trauma. During the holiday season they stuff and give stockings to those who might not otherwise receive any gifts or celebrate at all. \nProject: Kindness is at the ready to help with this worthwhile endeavor. We’ll celebrate the holiday with music\, cookies and cocoa. Join us for this FREE service project that’s sure to be a lot of fun!
