Staying active in the winter can be hard. No. It can feel next to impossible. When the temperatures get cold and the days get short – who wants to walk the dog or toss a ball around the yard? No one.
Yet, staying active during the winter can be one of the healthiest decisions anyone can make. The DD community often finds this challenge even more difficult than other people. When the whole house is unmotivated (including mine!), it’s not likely anyone will be busting out burpees or hitting the treadmill on their own time.
The Fix? A Positive, Ingetrated Workout!
That’s why NPower Services teamed up with Chagrin Falls CrossFit to offer integrated workouts that not only encourage fitness, they also spark positivity. This gym has one of the most uplifting and “NPowering” teams of coaches, not to mention the athletes of all ages, abilities, shapes, and sizes who show up to remind themselves of their best selves. Feeling good is contagious. It’s not just about crushing a WOD (Workout of the Day); it’s about feeling good about doing something good. And Coach Liz Kentner does an outstanding job leading everyone through fun, modified exercises.
Interested? Email NPower. The 2022 schedule:
Tuesdays at 5:30 p.m.
- Jan. 11
- Jan. 25
- Feb. 8
- Feb. 22
- March 8
- March 22
Chagrin Falls CrossFit is located at 477 Industrial Parkway, Unit D, Chagrin Falls, Ohio 44022.
NPower / CF2 classes are held concurrently with the regularly scheduled CrossFit classes. Everyone works out under the same roof and inspires each other. And, if this opportunity isn’t right for you, but you’re still interested in working out, contact Jenn Pishko at Chagrin Falls CrossFit; this gym offers accommodations in regularly scheduled classes.
We’re going to monitor interest and participation levels through this winter and determine if there’s enough motivation to continue offering these classes through the rest of the year. Don’t worry! Geauga Joggers & Walkers will be back on the trails next spring regardless of CrossFit plans.
