NPower Services is pleased to introduce “Power Ups,” a new fitness program designed to get adults with developmental disabilities involved in challenging workouts followed by games and social activities. Power Ups is held at the Wembley Club (8345 Woodberry Blvd. / Bainbridge) at noon – 1:30 p.m. in eight-week sessions. The first session begins Jan. 18 and runs through March 7. The program costs $50 per session; no one is turned away for financial reasons.
“This is a population that needs more opportunities to be active and involved,” says Fitness Director Colleen Ryan. “I have worked with people who have different disabilities in the past, and am thrilled to be offering a structured environment with coaches who want to make a difference.”
A typical class involves a 30 to 40-minute workout (cardio, core, balance, strength) followed by a transition to a different activity for another 30 to 40 minutes. These include:
- Spin biking in a state-of-the-art, high-tech room
- Yoga
- Swimming
- Pickleball
- Boxing
- Corn hole
- Nutrition tips
- More!
To register, contact Lori at NPower Services. (Lori@NpowerServices.com). This offering is in addition to and separate from the adaptive CrossFit classes at Chagrin Falls CrossFit on Tuesdays at 5:30 p.m. Register for CrossFit here.
